Vidaris, a consulting company for engineering, architecture, and construction, came to Cooper on Tuesday, October 1st. Kevin Kim, a Cooper Union alumni, came in to give a presentation on Vidaris and his experience working there.
On March 21st, Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers, a geotechnical engineering company, visited Cooper to talk about the geotechnical engineering design process and projects that MRCE was involved in. A Q&A followed the presentation in which students inquired about the firm’s work as well as any internship opportunities.
On November 29th, the Cooper Union ASCE chapter hosted Langan for a company presentation. Many students came to hear about the projects Langan works on, and to learn about possible opportunities. Langan collected many resumes at the event. About 25 students came.
The Cooper ASCE chapter assisted in organizing the Cooper SEAoNY chapter’s company visit to Severud Associates. On November 16th, students from Cooper visited Severud’s office. On November 8th, representatives from ARUP came to Cooper to give a company presentation to civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering students. This event involved coordination with the ASME and IEEE Cooper chapters. Students learned about the many opportunities they may explore at ARUP. About 30 students came.
On October 16th, the ASCE co-hosted a WSP information session. Representatives from the WSP internship program came to Cooper Union to give information about the internship program at WSP and collect resumes for the program next year. About 30 students came.
On May 1st, four representatives from Mega Construction came to Cooper to give a presentation on their company. They discussed the company history, the company structure, and the types of projects they work on. 15 students attended.
On February 13th, three representatives from Mueser Rutledge came to Cooper to give a presentation on their company and its projects. 15 students attended.
